Affiliate disclosure & how we check prices
StockUpScout is reader-supported. When you click a retailer link and buy, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. We may also join affiliate programs from other retailers (for example through Impact.com); any new program will be listed here.
Rankings are never for sale. The Stock-up score is calculated only from price data: today's unit price compared with that item's own 90-day range (100 = at its 90-day low). Sponsored content is always labeled "Sponsored."
Prices. Prices come from retailers' official product APIs and are shown with the time they were last checked. Prices and availability change, so the price at checkout is the one that applies. Amazon prices are shown only when provided through Amazon's official tools.
Where today's prices come from: Kroger prices come from the official Kroger Products API for one national reference store (Kroger On the Rhine, Cincinnati, OH), because there is no Kroger near our home base in Florida. They are refreshed daily and labeled with the time they were checked. Your local store or kroger.com may show a different price. Amazon links go to Amazon search results tagged with our Associates ID; we do not show Amazon prices until we can get them from Amazon's official tools. Walmart and Target prices are coming soon.
Stock-up verdicts: until an item has 14 days of price history, the verdict is based only on the store's current sale price versus its regular price ("Stock up" = 15%+ off, "On sale" = any markdown, "Regular price" = no markdown). After 14 days, the Stock-up score compares today's unit price with the item's own price range.
